The unit is initially programmed to recognize a proxmity card as a "Master" card. Once the Master card has been initialized, it can be used to grant or remove access to other proximity cards. Once programmed, the outputs will be activated when an authorized card is placed near the antenna of the module. The reader's range is approximately 3 inches. The relay will remain activated for 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, or 100 seconds, depending on the settings selected through a set of DIP switches. The unit produces a beep sound in order to indicate when a card has been read.
The modules comes with 2 proximity cards included. Additional proximity cards as well as Key Fobs can be purchased separately.
A 9 to 12V DC supply is required to power the kit, which has a current consumption of less than 200mA. You may use our DCA-9200 adapter or any other 9V DC / 300mA (2.1mm center positive) adapter.
